Apple Ergonomics & Touch Typing Guide

Professional tips from IT Track Institute instructors to reach 100+ WPM without eye fatigue.

The Home Row Anchor

Always rest your fingers gently on the home keys: ASDF (left hand) and JKL; (right hand). Feel the tactile bumps on F and J with your index fingers without looking down.

Never Look at the Keyboard

Train your brain's muscle memory. Looking at keys creates a mental bottleneck. Even if you make mistakes, keep your gaze fixed on the screen. Speed will naturally follow accuracy.

Accuracy Before Velocity

Typing fast with mistakes slows you down due to backspacing. Strive for 98%+ accuracy first. Once your rhythm is clean and consistent, your WPM will rapidly compound.

Ergonomic Posture

Sit straight with both feet flat on the floor. Keep your wrists hovering slightly above the table or rest gently on a cushion. Avoid twisting or anchoring your wrists at sharp angles.
